Dental Prostheses
A dental prosthesis is a replacement used to restore lost or damaged natural tooth structures for functional and/or aesthetic reasons. The term dental prosthetics also refers to the branch of dentistry that focuses on the design and fabrication of prostheses while adhering to the following requirements:
- Functionality: The prosthesis must restore proper chewing function and articulation (opening, closing, lateral and forward-backward movements), as well as correct phonetics.
- Durability: The prosthesis must withstand the forces exerted during chewing and be resistant to the effects of oral fluids.
- Safety: The prosthesis must be made from non-toxic materials and should not have sharp edges that could damage oral tissues.
- Aesthetics: Artificial teeth should resemble natural teeth as closely as possible, ensuring that the patient’s natural facial profile is maintained.
There are two types of prostheses: fixed and removable. Trust our experience – we will find the ideal solution for you!

Removable Prosthesis
A removable prosthesis consists of a base made of resin, onto which tooth elements made of resin or ceramic are attached. This prosthesis can be fully removable, replacing all teeth in one jaw, or partially removable, replacing only missing teeth while being anchored to remaining teeth. The removable prosthesis is detachable, allowing patients to maintain daily oral hygiene easily.

Fixed Prosthesis
A fixed prosthesis is called a crown when it refers to a single tooth and a bridge when it involves multiple teeth. A fixed prosthesis is essential for restoring chewing function and the aesthetics of missing teeth. These elements can be made from materials such as ceramic alloys, gold-ceramic alloys, full ceramic, and the latest materials like zirconia and aluminum.
